Bonny
Bonny is the founder and Director of Light a Candle Uganda a charity that strives to empower children to reach their full potential and be agents of positive change in their communities tomorrow. He believes that every boy and girl has the ability to flourish if given an opportunity and it’s this that motivates him to dedicate his skills and resources to create a world where we can all happily live in.
Simon
Simon is our Co-director and shares the same story as many of our program children. Being born and raised in a poor family, he cherishes the opportunity given to the children to better their future and become the people that God destined them to be. Each day presents an opportunity for him to go out and serve the community and share his testimony with those that had lost hope.
Phillip
Meet PHILLIP the mathematician. Phillip is a celebrated Physics and mathematics teacher who joined LACU family in 2019. He is a soft spoken and yet passionate fellow who loves sharing his skills with those that come across him. He heads our Finance desk and at the same time offers Career guidance to our amazing kids. We feel so honored to have him on the team that will raise leaders that will transform our continent
Judith
Judith is an amazing lady who loves offering a shoulder to those in need. She brings to the team a sense of humor and skills in counseling. She works closely in our women empowerment program to ensure that women learn various income generating projects in order to break the poverty chains in families. She is a mother of 3 and loves cooking and farming.
Phionah
Phionah is our testimony. She joined the organization as a sponsored child and we have seen her transform into a lady she is now. Very devoted with a future full of possibilities, we are super proud to have her as our CHILD DEVELOPMEMT OFFICER helping in coordinating various Centre programs. She works so well with children and loves teaching Bible stories and singing.
